CURRENT PROJECTS
The Guthrie Audubon Carroll and Greene County Dolly Parton Imagination Library project
The Dolly Parton Imagination Library project is a remarkable initiative that brings the joy of reading and imagination to young children around the world. Founded by the legendary country singer and philanthropist, Dolly Parton, this program aims to foster a love for books and learning from an early age.

Through the Imagination Library, children from birth to age five receive a free, age-appropriate book every month delivered right to their homes. This ensures that children, regardless of their family's financial situation, have access to a diverse range of high-quality books, stimulating their imagination, and helping them develop essential literacy skills. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library project has had a profound impact on countless children, opening doors to a world of knowledge and inspiring a lifelong love for reading.
Guthrie County AED and CPR Initiative
The Guthrie County AED and CPR Initiative is an ambitious project aimed at enhancing the safety and well-being of the communities within Guthrie County, Iowa. With the objective of saving lives during sudden cardiac emergencies, the initiative plans to strategically place 30 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout the county, ensuring quick access to life-saving devices in crucial moments. In addition to the placement of AEDs, the project aims to empower community members by providing free CPR and AED training sessions.

By equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations, the initiative not only increases the chances of survival for cardiac arrest victims but also creates a community that is better prepared to handle medical emergencies. Through the Guthrie County AED and CPR Initiative, the community's safety and resilience will be strengthened, ultimately fostering a healthier and more secure environment for all residents.
